Helpful information
-
What happens in the initial 15-minute call?
A brief chat to see what brings you to counselling, for you to ask any questions, and to explore whether we’d be a good fit to work together.
You don’t need to prepare anything beforehand - just make sure you’re in a quiet, confidential space where you feel able to talk freely.
-
How long are counselling sessions and how often do they take place?
All sessions are 50 minutes and take place weekly, as consistency is an important part of the counselling process. If you need a different arrangement, please let me know and we can explore whether I’m able to accommodate your needs.
-
How much does it cost?
Therapy with me cost £55 per session.
Payments can be made by bank transfer.
-
How many sessions will I need?
This varies from person to person. Some people benefit from short-term counselling (e.g. 6–12 sessions), while others prefer longer-term support. We can review together as we go along.
For students, I’m also happy to work on a term-time only basis if that suits you better. This can be agreed individually, depending on your needs.
-
Do you offer online as well as in-person sessions?
Yes, I offer both in-person and online therapy sessions. Please let me know your preference when you enquire, as availability can vary.
-
How do I know if counselling is right for me?
You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from counselling. The initial call is a good way to explore whether this feels like the right step.
